the jane austen book club

the best way to segue a birthday is to watch a movie in bed. okay, it seems like the curriculum for being a girl is to love jane austen. confession time: i have tried over and over to get into her writing and couldn't get past the englishness of it.

the jane austen book club made me want to give her another go, so pride and prejudice it is tomorrow.

and yes, today was my birthday. it was wonderful & i forgot to take photos. but just think fajitas, mojitos and love.

The happiest of birthdays to you Ms. Dawn. Are you reading P&P or watching the movie? In which case I vote for the Keira Knightly version.

Cheat. Watch the movies, THEN read the book. Makes it much easier. I recommend Sense & Sensibility - it has Kate Winslet, and Emma Thompson, and Emma Thompson wrote the screen play.

Happy Birthday to you, lovie. I hope you were rightly treasured today.

Love & kisses,
fiwa

Happy Birthday Dawn. I too have dificulty with British reading. There is no dictionary for translating from English to English and it's quite a different language.
