and the river runs through it

feeding our finefeathered friends

i think the biggest part of this stretching business is to just do it. pack up the lunch and go. make an effort. expand the fortress walls. take advantage of your beautiful city or your favorite view. pack up the puppy & pop it like itz hot. live a little. put the security blanket on soak and just skidaddle.

this is brackenridge park which is just minutes from our home. brackenridge is beautiful. it is behind the witte museum and surrounds the san antonio zoo. the japanese sunken gardens is still under construction, though - boo, hiss! last sunday, we went to the alamo and the riverwalk. that part of the river was drained for cleaning (and someone said to redirect tourists to other attractions of san antonio?), so i do want to go back and take some shots and, perhaps, a vlog.

this is texas in january.
chin up, shoes off, itz showtime.

lunch @ da park

Dear Rio by the River,
It looks very similar or at least reminded me of good times at Sewell Park. Do you still have the crocheted bathing suit?
Enjoy the Texas beauty. Missing it here from Colorado, especially the heat. JFAP

Oh yeah. Looks just like I remember it, 18 years ago...I love Brackenridge.

Hey, run down to that old Aquaduct sometime and get some shots there. It was my fav lunch spot during that wonderful summer.
XOXO

Dawn, you make that water look like silk with hints of metallic threading through it. Gorgeous.

I'm right there with ya, sista--put the security blanket on soak! I love the title of your post, "eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it." A River Runs Through It is one of my favorite books.
