luxury for (much) less

luxury for less

the new year was brought in with beloved family and kitchen revamping. the holiday break brought some downtime to reshuffle the house and sell some items while streamlining this little bungalow. i have an aspiring chef in the house and i repurposed another workspace for the kitchen from my studio.

a week ago, my son was injured in an accident. helpless is now defined as driving behind the ambulance that is carrying your child. helpful is now defined as making mashed potatoes (and the works) and drawing a steeping bath and washing his hair with care for his sutures.

God is a God of mercy. it seems that He never gives us too much all at once and that He doesn't mind feeding us merciful spoonfuls of change, lessons and pain. later, we look at the empty carton of life cream and go 'wow. i actually consumed all of that?' while we stretch into our new spandex lifeleggings.

this new year and decade will be insanely wonderful.

as far as resolutions go, i have only two:
1) to love even more
2) to find luxury in even less.

happy new year!

Hugs to you and the healing one, it sounds like things will be okay and I'm so thankful for you.

I love your resolutions. Ain't that what it's all about?

I am so sorry to hear about your son. If he's anything like his mom he will be up and about, and kickin' butt very shortly!

Wishing him a complete and speedy recovery.

I love your resolutions, too, Dawn.
