hunka hunka birthday love

when i was little, i would rush home from school to watch elvis movies. i can't decide on which of his movies is my favorite, but my favorite scene of alltime is the lil' spanking scene on blue hawaii. little girls are quite impressionable and this has to be one of my most favorite memories of all. though, probably not one of merle haggard's.

"on you, wet is my favorite color."
be still, my heart.

in honor of his birthday (while festivities are in full swing here since my mother swears up and down that he is my real daddy), i could ask you if it is really any wonder why a girl wants to be bad, even just a little?

Girl. You are talking my kinda talk. I fell in love with Elvis when I was 6 years old, when I got my first album of many many. And my best friend Tina's mom dated Elvis a few times, when he was hanging around Shreveport, singing at the Louisiana Hayride.

I can tell you my favorite Elvis movie. It's any of them. LOL
XOXO

If there is a better love song than Elvis singing "I can't help falling in love with you", than I haven't heard it.

It's pure perfection!!! *swoon*

I saw every Elvis movie with my mother, usually at the Starlight Drive-In on the outskirts of Brenham, Texas =)
Now, every time I hear Elvis, I get that warm feeling inside....my favorite probably was Kissing Cousins!

Happy Birthday to your daddy Elvis and Happy New Year to you Dawn. During the Christmas break I drove to and from Florida. It rained the whole time that we were in Kentucky and I kept singing or humming that Elvis "Kentucky Rain" song.
