lucy luxe

lucy luxe

today is lucy mae's first birthday and is a perfectly good day to come up for air. happy birthday, lucy mae...and happy birthday to your two brothers!

this morning was one of those mornings that we slept until 8 and then celebrated the fact that it was a more day to carve out for the weekend.

i can officially say that keeping a house 'showready' each day is one of the most exhausting things ever known to woman.

the countdown is on and i have been working in the studio this weekend in my files. file revamping is instant gratification since you see your improvements almost immediately. i had old stuff in them thar cabinets and it is nice to be able to find a file muy pronto.

the big move is in a matter of weeks. that sentence itself is overwhelming, but somehow it will all get done. next weekend, i will be getting ready for the big sale. am off to keep working out the kinks here and celebrate the brightest addition in our life this year.

I remember how hard it was to keep the house spotless. We missed out on the seller's market when they could just keep the house any which way and it didn't matter. Best of luck with the sale and move!

I just want to reach out and give Miss Lucy Mae a great big hug and kiss. She's all about love and devotion, isn't she? You can see the love in her eyes.

Keep your eye on the prize as you make the house ready. You're almost there.

HB to Lucy. :) give her a dog biscuit from me. I remember how much fun keeping the house clean and making sure the furbabies were cordoned was when we made our last move 9 years ago. Good Luck with everything.

I can only imagine how exhausting that must be, keeping your house spotless ALL THE TIME. Good luck on the big sales - you know I will thinking about you all day on Saturday, and wishing I could be there.

love you -

Hey Dearest Dawn!

I'll tell you this and it's no urban myth....I've sold several houses and EVERY TIME, it's the couple who are already on the front door step, and I had NO time to tidy up, you guessed it...they were the buyers...that's right, dishes in the sink, unmade beds.....
Just wanted to toss that out there...

Cheering for you. Your house is beautiful and the right peeps will come along.

Happy B-Day Pooch-o-la!
