today is lucy mae's first birthday and is a perfectly good day to come up for air. happy birthday, lucy mae...and happy birthday to your two brothers!
this morning was one of those mornings that we slept until 8 and then celebrated the fact that it was a holiday...one more day to carve out for the weekend.
i can officially say that keeping a house 'showready' each day is one of the most exhausting things ever known to woman.
the countdown is on and i have been working in the studio this weekend in my files. file revamping is instant gratification since you see your improvements almost immediately. i had old stuff in them thar cabinets and it is nice to be able to find a file muy pronto.
the big move is in a matter of weeks. that sentence itself is overwhelming, but somehow it will all get done. next weekend, i will be getting ready for the big sale. am off to keep working out the kinks here and celebrate the brightest addition in our life this year.

I'll tell you this and it's no urban myth....I've sold several houses and EVERY TIME, it's the couple who are already on the front door step, and I had NO time to tidy up, you guessed it...they were the buyers...that's right, dishes in the sink, unmade beds.....
Just wanted to toss that out there...
