first of the season
i have been working since the early morning dark and i just walked out to see if i have my first bloom yet of the season. old blush is the winner. this is straight-out-of-the-camera-in-your-face-goodness.
...and that white mystery rose which was voted a peony, by a few? it really is a rose. it has tons of tiny buds on it. give it a week or two and we won't even care what it is.

Oh Dawn, how lovely. We're expecting 8" of snow, ice and wind today. It's so nice to know that someone is experiencing spring! Thanks for the smile today.
XOXOXOX
Yummy! My first rose to bloom is Reine Victoria, though I was too distracted with cats (on a leash) going outside for the first time to take a photo of that bloom ;-)
What a beautiful color! I love those first signs of spring.

At least another 6-8 weeks here. The daffodils are just starting their show this week and the roses are just starting to push new growth. Lucky you inhale the fragrance of Spring!
Dawn what a beautiful rose.

Dawn this one is beautiful in its own right, but I've developed an unrequited love for the anonymous white one! =0]
Old Blush...one of my absolute favs. Rose and person (haha) - who, btw, is getting ready to welcome his first grandbaby.
My roses (the few that the moles haven't slain) have the most beautiful leaves...haven't seen a bud yet but your photo awakens a strong hankerin inside.
XOXO
my mutabilis is putting on the show in my backyard right now....
