for thrift's sake

blanketygoodness for $4.99

first of all, thank you for reading my blog, commenting & introducing yourselves. i love how small the world is with its connectivity within a click of a key.

i really do work, but i had to make a stop afterwork to thrift town. the kids and i have been trying to do the math on the odds of scoring after you have been thrifting for years. we hit & quit it over the holidays and found nada. it becomes a game. you have to thrift just that last time to give it a chance to redeem itself and then you hit the motherlode.

mind you, i didn't need another blanket, but seriously, how could anyone pass this crocheted one up. someone cool made it for someone they loved and it had a $4.99 tag on it. i also found a makeup mirror that i have been looking for (for months) just like the one that my mother had. i am working on a play area in my bedroom and over the weekend, i will take a photo to share.

it is thrift thursday.
go do the hit it & quit it
for thrift's sake.

I love the crocheted throw! What a find. I can't wait for spring and the yardsales to come back. Maybe I'll hit the Salvation Army! They have a great thrift store.

have a peaceful day,
Gin

P.S. I did the "letter to my 13-yr old self"...I'm emotionally exhausted!

That is beautiful! I can't stop looking at the colors. I can't wait to see your play area - I love that about you - that you have a play area in your boudoir.

You probably already figured this out, but I think that I have much better luck if I thrift during the week. If I wait till the weekend, there is nothing - and I think that's because a lot of people are buying stuff to resale on ebay and CL. I haven't been thrifting in awhile, I'm hoping to have a nice long session week after next. :)

Funny you should mention thrifting today! I was going to stop in on the way home from work. Thanks, Dawn, for your TLC as I miss my darling Nikki.
