for you, my lil hoodlum

Photobucket

okay, i luv me some anthropologie. have i ever bought anything there? no. i go into the la cantera store, maybe, twice a year and kiss the tall ceilings and beautiful things, but simply can't afford it. real fun for me is halfoff at thrift town or halfoff day at an estate sale.

v wants a hooded scarf so i wrote a pattern last night. if the braid cable doesn't work, i might simplify it with one cable and she wants it in grey. something blew in last night and we are not sweating...so this is a perfect project to work on.

O, I know it ~ I LOVE to go in there, but never buy. It just makes my senses go wild! and that warm & fuzzy feeling comes over me.
Yes, it blew in here Dawn~and I am lovin' it. It was quite breezy walkin' up the streets of downtown Houston. I had my leather jacket and thick muffler on~like it was freezing-LOL.
Can't wait to see what you design, as I know V will LOVE it.

Love that hooded scarf. The one I have is nowhere as attractive as this one, or maybe it's just the way I look in it? Curly hair and hats just don't go together.

The front came through here this morning. Lots of rain and wind. I love this kind of weather. For a little while.

YIPPEE!! Florida's gonna cool down a little as well....perfect opportunity for me to use one of the many scarves I've crocheted. I can't knit though...BUMMER! But I know V will love her custom design. :o) xoxo

i've admired this very scarf, i just love it, makes me wish i knew how to knit!

autumn/winter time intices me to design clothing - i get so many ideas from anthropologie, i look forward to creating at least a few pieces just for me and for fun!

I heart that scarf. I'm with Cheryl, as a curly head I look ridiculous with anything on my head, but I have hat/hoodie/stocking cap envy.

I can't wait to see the finished product. And I can't believe you can just make up a pattern!

Yours will be even better, sweetpea.

Glad to hear some coolness has blown in. My sister was complaining about the heat. And oh, hunky nephew (he of the birthday collage) lives in Texas too, married to a Texas girlita!

Egads, woman! Is there anything that you CAN'T do?!?!? [grin]

I'm hopin' that Miz V will model the finished product for us!!!

Oh Anthropologie-I get the catalogs-I've been to the store once-complete sensory overload-I bought a pair of super clearance sneakers-$9 !! Its fun to dream though! I too am a Thrift Shop queen-nothing like the feeling of getting that $75 sweater for $3.00.
Your weather sounds great-I laid awake listening to the hail/snow mix pelt the windows all night long-the ground is covered and baby-its cccccccold outside! But I have serious Holiday fever so its fine with me!

If it ain't on sale...I don't want it!

Dontcha love a project when you're not sweating! I know I do!! I'm crocheting doilies right now. Can't just sit and watch TV, I have to have something else to do...crocheting is good! I always need doilies and more doilies with my French faience and Isabel Bloom (a late local artist who designs and makes cement sculptures...then replicates them over and over...LOL) collections. Stay tuned, I'll be doing blog entries on both of the above soon!
