a cassia & a cat

as promised, i took a couple of shots of my favorite yellow this evening. winter cassia (senna bicapsularis) is a host to sulphur butterflies & the sulphur cats are simply stunning.

when the winter cassia buds are spared, they open up to dazzle the world.

by fluke, i stumbled on one of these years ago at halfprice & planted it, not knowing how much i would look forward to their blooms in october each year. aren't they stunning?

thank you God for yellow and green and everything in between.
