eye of the dog
the eye of the dog art center is an artisan haven here on the edge of the texas hill country. this weekend was their annual salsa fest where contestants competed for these beautiful handcrafted trophies.
the artists'compound is an colony of buildings, studios and kiln rooms.
this bowl was huge and extremely lovely. it reminded me of a texas version of wedgwood.
these vases were my favorite. i don't have a smartphone, but i was duly fascinated by the juxtaposition of this oversized scangraphic on such an understated feminine piece of pottery. very cool.
beverly and billy ray mangham are the coolest people on this planet and have created an inspiring creative center. next year, i just might enter some salsa.
