a movie about a breakup is a movie about a breakup, but it had a lot of tender moments sandwiched with some really funny ones. there was a moment when julianne moore's character said "i had forgotten who i was." i remember that feeling with such clarity.
oh, and now i get what the hubbub about ryan gosling (who reminds me so much of steve mcqueen in a weird way) is all about. on the "between semesters movie list" is drive.
