the nonwhites

colors

well, i have my colors narrowed down.

yesterday afternoon, i had already started to miss white, so i am contemplating painting the front room (living room/dining room) decorator's white. really, i think that i would miss a slice of white.

the kitchen is shaping up to be yellow highlighter. blossom inspired me to match her face with bittersweet chocolate in the mudroom and her eyes with old pickup blue in my bedroom. just because i can, i am painting the bathroom spring purple and will glitz it up a bit.

b's room is already on the kelly green side, v's room is periwinkle and my studio is hotpink. how did they know?

What's amazing is how beautifully all those colors look together.

My daughter always complains that everything in our house is latte colored. It's true! I might need to add a little moss green. I love color in other people's houses. Including the choices you've made. I can live vicariously!

My entire house is quite vibrant: pencil yellow, chili pepper red, eggplant, wheatgrass green, EXCEPT for the bedroom: WHITE. When you do such a thing, white becomes another color with a lot of dimension.

I want a job naming paint colors! Wouldn't that be fun. I love picking out new colors. You've got some winners there!
