I love the old paper work you can find when living in an old house. Here in King County, WA. FDR's 'New Deal' Paid folks to go around and take picture and document every standing structure. If you have your land Parcel/Tax # for $15 dollars the county will send you a copy. Apparently my farm house was a jukejoint in 1936.
Cool.

I'm sure it must have been nation wide. It really rocks - check it out if you haven't already.
