I can't wait till it's peony time here. My mother has these in abundance and plenty to share. The scent!
I'm all caught up here. That makes me happy! I didn't comment elsewhere but all the photos that accompany your posts are so beautiful. The sugar on the king cake looks like glass! Sugary heaven too.
those are in full bloom at this moment? i'd be so proud!
you were in my dream last night. we ran into each other, and i was like, hey, remember me? and you said of course, and then we were chummy. it was nice to see you!
I didn't know peonies would grow down here, I thought they were a northern thing??? Maybe it just loves you like we all do...
I have such a mess outside. The moles have destroyed at least half of my roses, maybe more - I'm going to have to replant everything with some kind of protection underneath...sigh.

Dawn, what a STUNNER! I want one for my front white garden! Beautiful images, my friend :-)
Would also say it's a white peony. I love peonies! Beautiful! Here in Germany they only bloom at Pentecost.
Are those blooming NOW ? That's it, I'm moving.
Wow, that's the best dollar purchase I've ever seen! Gorgeous!!!
what a score!
Yes that's a peony. I see some red in the center. Could it be Festiva Maxima? The amount of red varies on it.

Never have grown peonies - you must be a miracle gardener with SA's tough water. They are extraordinarily beautiful.
Nope kats and kitties, that's a most decadent rose..........
Every once in a while the universe gives us a dollar treat. This almost looks like a Camelia or vintage Rose varietal. Gorgeous!

At least it'll get me outside!

Dawn, I think someone on my forum ID'd your ROSE for you!!
Look up Fortuniana on HelpMeFind!!
Sorry about thinking it was a peony, I was told this morning that peonies don't grow in your area!!
:) Oooops
Actually, I think Festiva Maxima is one of the few that will manage in warm climates. I have some but mostly for their foliage.
oh...my ...Lawd.
Is that from THIS Planet?
