the 5:45 alarm was the sure sign that the holidays were over and the evencrazier taxiing starts back up again. the school dropoff at 6:15 for practice sucks.
what i loved about the break:
1) time to chill with the kids
2) time to clean & organize this life of ours
3) time with friends & garanimals
4) time off from the routine of 'we are latte. we are latte from a very important datte!'
now, back to the daily grind from a very appreciated break.

i'm just getting back into the swing of things myself. i need a latte tooo! *grin* but quiting the dark stuff (coffee) for good! is one of things on my goal list for 2008. so far so good. i guess! *wink*

I've got one more week of craziness before college starts up again. I love and adore my sons, but we are entering week 5 of their break and I'm starting to get antsy for them to get back into a real routine.
Ah...back to reality!

I don't go to school till Tuesday! But I'm also going to be spending the rest of my last day finishing up an art review. ...That's rather upsetting. ]=
I had to go back last Thursday for one of my districts and today both of them are back. I love being on a routine too...but O how I love the breaks! I punch in at 6:30am, so I fully understand your angst!

You are so speakin my language. It was 5:00 for me, although I lolled around in bed until the hubby got outta the way, about 20 minutes worth...
And I'm on the rare afternoon pot of coffee...somehow, with this first day back, I just needed it.
Daily grind is right; workgrind and smoothroastedgrind haha

Ahh, yeah, it was back to the grind today. It was harder to get up than I expected. I was going to clean my cess pool house tonight when I got home, but latte or not...NOT going to happen! :)
Oh my god... I feel for you. We had to be up at 4 today for sum work stuff, and Mr. C woke up at 2:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. When the man can't sleep, ain't nobody sleepin.
I'm so glad you got to enjoy a nice long break with the kids.
