in the state of imaginary grace
about a week ago, boothe had put the blue lid on the stove while he put in leftovers in the tupperwarebowl. the pilot alone melted it.
the moment was so clear. i remembered when i had bought the set of tupperware storage bowls twenty years ago from someone in the office at westwood and wilshire. it had been such a grownup marriedgirl purchase.
some girls get attached to tupperware. though, i wasn't angry. things happen and i did the same damn thing just a few days ago to the pink lid and i have been singing modern english's i melt with you ever since.

Makes for a Cool image as well. Love Modern English too. :)
All of a sudden I want to go out and rent Valley Girl.
I thought it was a pic of pink glaze getting ready to be poured on a bundt cake! Can you tell I'm trying to lose some weight?? ;-) I've got food on my mind.
I like the flow of it.
Dawn, I thought you had captured strawberry syrup going into milk or something. Beautiful image, despite the loss of your pink lid. *Marilyn - heee!*
Well, girl. That means only one thing!!!
Time to go shopping and upgrade to Nalgene or glass!!! [grin]
Sorry about the lids Dawn, but that sure would be a lovely wall color! =0] xoxo
Hey, we could start an exhibit of modern art with your lid and my measuring cup! At least your lid is pretty though - it really does make a gorgeous photo.
I'm sorry about the loss of old favorites though, chica. Maybe some day you'll find them in a thrift store again.
You better be careful. They say things happen in 3's, so watch out for that 3rd lid.

I felt the same way when I discovered a crack in the cup Jim gave me 20 years ago, when I worked for him...it's a pencil holder now, I just can't part with it. And btw - it says "It sure makes the day long when you get to work on time!" hahaha, wonder why he gave me that?
I love your lidart...
Melted Tupperware makes great art. Save it and display it like a sculpture.
None of my wedding tupperware made it past two years. I was so dumb that my first casualty melted in the oven. Really, I thought you could take it from the refrigerator to the oven.
jumping on the gorgeous photo/art bandwagon!
holy moly smackeroly, melted tupper, what's for suppa this image is amazing. I love visiting here.
