a holiday of old & new

as the kids & i make new holiday traditions this year, it makes me think of the holiday song that really shaped me as a kid and it truly translates into everyday living. i hope it brings back good memories for you, as well.

this year had a strong embrace. while i hug it back, the new year is blowing kisses from across the room. i am so thankful for every path that was journeyed, new friends that were made, old friends who kept chanting 'go girl go!', new furbabies who needed a home while i had one with more room to share, the i's that were dotted and the t's that were crossed, and life that insisted on being lived without excuses.

may this holiday season be magical and warm for us all. pack in a few more XoOoxxXoO into yours from us at the house of houser.

I often sing this song to myself! (throughout the year) It's funny -- I really do not like musicals (on tv, movie, stage) but I LOVE children's animated musicals. Thank's for sharing this -- I haven't watched this one yet this year!

I didn't even know this song--didn't remember it from my childhood. But I listened, and learned. Great message. May this be a wonderful holiday for the house of houser.

Last week I thought of you when I pulled out some x-mas cards from my card stash and found one of your cards for Crane's. It was hot pink and green with a woman's head designed on a gift tag embossed shape with envelopes lined in script. I love those cards! I keep one of all of my favorite cards. Hope you have a great Christmas!
