last night, the cardinal mom&dad were making a racket outside my window. this morning, i checked on the nest & it has been pulled out of the palmtree. a cat got the nestlings. not even five minutes later, the dogs are barking at something by the pool and i find this guy doing the breaststroke. his sibs were in the pool filter having a party.


...after getting the three musketeers out of the pool, my kids are asking if they can feed them pastrami. oy!


luckily, a friend's son wants to raise them until they are old enough to release.
