a day's stretch

How did the rose ever open its heart
and give to this world all of its beauty?
It felt the encouragement of light against its being,
otherwise we all remain too frightened.

yesterday was my daughter's orientation @ jr high...my last jr. high orientation of three. her group was so cute, so excited but with an undercurrent of scaredycat.

i picked up my oldest son at driver's ed last night and found out that they had been driving in real 5 o'clock traffic with three lanes & an emo kid!
am i ready for this? today they do 'rural' driving and tomorrow downtown.

"i have two prayers. one "please, please, please, please!" and
the other "thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"

my younger son came home telling me that some juniorgirl told him that he was hot and it was too bad that he was a freshman. what a freakin slut. (no offense, slutgirl's momma.)

the good news of the day was that next week's barndance (@elementary school) is the last one that i have to attend.
cornballcity! (oh, and yeeehaw!)
